Her campaign, Let’s Move!, promoted healthy living and established a ‘Task Force’ to take on Childhood Obesity.
She went on to launch Reach Higher to inspire all children to work hard for a good education using herself and President Obama’s own lives as an example of what they could achieve.
In 2011, First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden launched Joining Forces, a program to focus on the rehabilitation and support for veterans and service members throughout their lives.
In 2015, the First Lady launched Let Girls Learn along with the American Government and a body of aid and development agencies, to promote opportunities for education girls across the world.
First Lady, Michelle Obama’s work has truly changed the world and she will be greatly missed.
In a teary farewell, he words of hope encouraged her audiences.
“I want our young people to know that they matter, that they belong. So don’t be afraid … be focused. Be determined. Be hopeful. Be empowered. Empower yourself with a good education.”
“I hope I made you proud”.
